Vegetation Management- Electrification of Midland Mainline

Network Rail will be removing a lot of vegetation along the sides of the rail tracks this weekend during the following dates/times:

Friday 9th December: 22:00 until 07:00 Saturday 10th December

Saturday 10th December: 07:00 until 15:00, and then from 21:00 until 07:00 Sunday 11th December

Sunday 11th December: 07:00 until 17:00

Works may continue the following weekend during the same times as above, depending on progress this weekend.

There will be several teams of Ground workers, 70 workers during the night shifts and 100 workers during the day shifts working along the whole stretch of the track between the New Road Bridge and Warwick Road. They will be using chainsaws and other cutting machinery throughout this whole time including during the night.
