Cllr Janet Dowling
Councillor
Kibworth Beauchamp Parish Council
I returned to live in Kibworth three years ago when I retired, having lived in the area many years before. When I came back, it was good to see so many new facilities in the village for residents of all ages and the active role played by the parish council in the development of community spaces and in improving the quality of life for everyone.
I am semi-retired and have had a 40-year career initially in arts education in professional theatre and more recently in community and children's services, including as a Sure Start Children's Centre Manager and as strategic lead for countywide Early Help (Family Support) services in a neighbouring county.
Since returning to Kibworth I have been supporting the Community Library as a volunteer and trustee and working with colleagues from the Parish Council and the Community Hub to develop more community and wellbeing facilities for the village.
I hope very much to be able to make a positive contribution to the ongoing work of the Parish Council.
