I have recently joined the parish council having lived in Kibworth Beauchamp for over a decade. Raising my young family here I have found so much to be thankful for; the local shops, parks, village halls and library. In my work in the criminal justice system I regularly see the consequences of social and economic disadvantage, and a sense of disenfranchisement which exists in so many of our communities. My aim is to ensure that any actions or decisions I make in my role as parish councillor enable people to have their voices heard, and enable active participation and inclusion in community life for all residents, young and old.
